Kokopelli House is an Impressive three-story residence embodying the relaxed atmosphere of tropical Island living, which is the inspiration for this "Key West" styled home. Beautifully decorated in contrasting pastel shades where the lifestyle is defined by the light, vibrant colors and the aqua blue water.
Reached by a short staircase or private elevator, the second floor leads directly to the main family room, thoughtfully furnished to reflect the casual waterfront lifestyle and offers a spacious living area with wide-screen TV. Retractable sliding doors open from the living area to the wrap-around balcony offering unsurpassed views of the bay, a short staircase leads down to the large south-west facing sundeck with private swimming pool and spa.
The open-plan kitchen has everything that could be required for a relaxing family vacation, microwave, glass-top stove & oven, automatic dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer – the list goes on. Adjacent to the kitchen is a center Island/bar with seating for six, additional outdoor dining is available on the wrap-around balconies. A utility room includes front-loading family washer and dryer.
Four spacious bedrooms plus the additional third floor private king suite with adjoining sitting room complete the accommodation - a private elevator services all 3 floors.
The home is within walking distance of all that the art community of Matlacha village has to offer - boutique shopping, seafood restaurants, live music and quirky art galleries. If your interest is fishing then Matlacha Pass, Pine Island Sound, and the other surrounding waterways are known to offer some of Florida's richest fishing grounds. You can hire guided trips for inshore fishing, rent a kayak, or take the water taxi from nearby Pineland marina across to the beautiful off-shore islands of Cabbage Key and North Captiva Island.

Guests should be aware that in keeping with numerous waterside properties in the area and to enhance their natural views, the deck area and swimming pool is NOT surrounded by a pool cage structure. For child safety, access to the pool area is via a lockable door.
Guests with boat trailers……… Waters around Matlacha sound can be very shallow in parts and may not be suitable for all types of boats – you are cautioned to research the Internet for further Information – public boat ramp access is located half mile away.

The place was much bigger than expected and had a great layout. Clean… There were 9 of us and no one was cramped because of how spacious the place was. Plenty of bath and pool towels. Kitchen amenities were great, having a laundry room was a big plus. The pool and dock close together was nice for keeping an eye on the kiddos. Loved being able to pull into the garage for packing the cars up late at night and not have to fumble around in the dark. Called on an issues that was addressed right away, response time A. Gorgeous view and sunsets, extremely relaxing. I suggest renting kayaks since you have a dock to tie up to. There’s a place close by that will deliver and pick them up for you. Note to people who want to use the dock a lot and have kids. Bring old towels to put by sandy path to wipe feet off. I also put them at the bottom and top of steps and before going into house. It really helps eliminate tracking so much sand in. I learned to do that years ago. Keeps mom or as I grama from sweeping up every time kids come and go If you do not enjoy this place something is wrong because we all thought it was awsome. If the good Lord permits I’ll be back with my kids and grand kids again.

What an awesome place to stay. We had 10 people in our party and there was plenty of room for all of us. The views were absolutely amazing and the dock was great for fishing and hanging out. We saw dolphins and stingrays right at the dock. There was a great supply of cooking utensils and tons of plates, silverware and glasses. We will definitely stay here again.

Stunning location. Quiet community. House is better in person than the pictures let on. Garage space was ideal for managing kayaks and paddle boards. Matlacha is still recovering but we loved supporting local businesses.
